Boardgames

This year Leprecon will be host 3 boardgame tournaments. We'll have some top prizes on offer and encourage all boardgamers to come a long and take part. Further tournaments may be organised close to the con, so stay tuned. We will of course have DU Gamers board game collection available to rent for people to play during the con.

Dominion Tournament

First published in 2008, Dominion is a deck-building boardgame that has taken the Irish gaming scene by storm. Draft up your deck to build a kingdom and crush your enemies beneath your iron heel. We invite all those interested in autocratic intrigue. The tournament will be a mix of Base set and Intrigue, with the play sets announced on the day.

One of the most popular boardgames around, Settlers of Catan is both astonishingly easy to play, but retains deep levels of complexity. It also gave us wood for sheep jokes. We at Leprecon invite you to join us in playing this wonderful game. The tournament will use the base set.

Small Worlds Tournament

In a tiny, tiny fantasy world, there’s rarely any room for the numerous races that are likely to crop up. The result? All out war. Giants fight dwarves; elves battle tritons; and the warlocks convert their forces one by one. Empires rise and decline as the people wage battle in an attempt to conquer what little land there is. The tournament will use the base set.
