A Vampire The Masquerade LARP

San Fran, 1985. As the waves of music bubble through the air of the nightclub and undead predators stride through the throng of moving bodies to drink from their victims in alcoves and darkened corners, the guards of the VIP area look on nervously. Their master's blood makes them strong, but still they fidget their weapons. Vampires, young and old, familiar or not, all flush with fresh blood, present themselves at the door and are checked for their invitations. They are scrutinised far more than usual. The vampires too look around curiously and nervously once they enter. All of them know that anyone could be one of the other guests invited to Prince Vargas's court this evening: the elusive and mysterious vampires of the East.

The foundation of the Colonies has given Rokugani a new way to serve the Empress through exploration and pacification. Some see it as the opportunity to succeed where otherwise they would be stifled by a thousand years of tradition. Some see it as an onerous duty, to be performed to the utmost, but only in the hope of a safe return home. Some see it as a kami-given chance to settle old scores away from the Empress' watchful gaze.

And deep in the darkest jungle, there is one who watches, and hungers.
