Corruption blights the Land; waters are turned to blood, the air to ash, and the sky to perpetual twilight. High Lord Prothall has delved deeply into the Lore contained at Revelstone, and revealed it to be the work of the Rune of Blightghast, an ancient Bane of terribel power, believed buried deep in the bones of the earth, but now in the hands of evil.

A dread Forbidding splits the Land in two, preventing Revelstone from striking at the holder of the Bane; only the outcast Lord Rhagnos, and the followers he has gathered around him, can reach the Tower of Knives in the Northron Climbs. Will they succeed, and defeat the insidious wielder of the Rune of Blightghast, or will the Land be plunged into darkness forever?
